On Wednesday night, a suspected rapist was stoned to death in Marikana near Philippi East, Cape Town.
According to the sister, her brother admitted to raping her two-year-old daughter, and he did so in front of the woman’s 5-year-old son.
The mother realized something was wrong when her five year old began to imitate people having sex.
The boy allegedly told his mother that he had seen his uncle doing it to his 2-year-old sister. When he confronted the man, he allegedly admitted to raping the girl.
“I didn’t know my brother was a vulture who wanted to destroy my kid,” said the mother.
The angry mother handed over her brother to local residents so they can punish him. The man was stoned and beaten to death. When police arrived at the scene, the crowd threw stones at the officers.
A witness, 37, said that when he heard what had happened, he felt no pity for the victim. “What kind of country has this become? The man does not deserve to live because he destroyed an innocent child,” he said.
The latest incident comes just a week after another man was stoned to death for raping a woman. Residents said that they will continue killing rapists.
Warrant Officer Nondumiso Paul said that they are investigating the incident.
